About Mr. Silva

Mr. Silva is a proud native of the East Bay! He performs and conducts almost exclusively choral music. He sings regularly with notable chamber ensembles Volti and Gaude, and has appeared as a soloist with the California Bach Society. Other accomplishments include singing with Artists’ Vocal Ensemble, Kronos Quartet, Marin Symphony, SF Symphony, and many others.
After earning a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a teaching credential from UCLA, Mr. Silva continued his music studies at Holy Names University. For seven years, he served as the Pre-K through 8th grade music teacher at St. Leander School in San Leandro, CA.
Twice a week, Mr. Silva conducts the Cantori ensemble, PBA’s After School ensemble for experienced boy choristers. He also provides music-theory and vocal instruction for our Day School boys grades 2-8.
